Program book for the 1894 La Fiesta de Los Angeles, which took place from April 10, 1894 to April 13, 1894. Some selected pages are described below. Page 3 lists Castruccio Bros., S. Conradi, Los Angeles Wine as being members/officers of the Merchants Association in Los Angeles. Page 5 lists L.W. Patti as being part of the School Transporation Committee. Page 43 lists Professor C. De Conti as memeber of the La Fiesta Committee. Page 50 advertises the newly completed Green Hotel in Pasadena. Page 55 has the April 10th programme which details a parade with many floats. The Italian Benevolent Society and Legion Francaise participated, along with other floats like the "Early Mining Days" float, the "Oriental Float," and the "Colored People's Float". Page 65 has the program for "Children's Day" (April 12, 1894). Page 71 lists the program for "Floral Military Day", which has a parade with bands. Musso's Band and Garibaldi Guards are listed among the bands. Page 74 has an advertisement for the Donato Brothers' Grocery store on 841 Alpine St in Los Angeles. |
