Satin underwear shorts worn by Rose Ricci under her dress at her wedding in 1936. They are cream, have an elastic waist band, and feature embroidered flowers at the bottom edge. Rose married Henry Ricci and her maiden name was Pescitani. Rose, age 18, married Henry Ricci, age 23, at Sacred Heart Church in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles on December 20, 1936. His family was from Tuscany, but he was born in Pasadena and worked as a window-washer. Rose's maiden name was Pescitani. Her father was Leonardo (born in San Pietro Avellana, Italy) and her mother was Teresa (born in Agne, Italy). After immigrating to the United States, the family lived in Burbank and became citizens before World War II. Teresa worked at Libby's Cannery until at least 1936. Rose went to Burbank High School and was a longtime member of the Garibaldina Club, Italian Women's Club, and St. Peter's Italian Church. |
